Where I work, in Asia Pacific, is just one of the regions in PSN where our commitment to safety, hard work and meeting our customers' needs has been rewarded with contracts stretching back over a decade or more.

Relationships

Strong relationships with our customers are vital to our business. We nurture these relationships to understand what our customers want and how we can best deliver it.  We expect everyone to contribute in building positive customer relationships.

We welcome candid feedback from our clients – good and bad – because it helps us to improve and stay focused on what customers need. We recognise that a customer’s perception is their reality, so we must take the time and have empathy to understand an issue from their viewpoint.

While it is good to be 'liked' - it is more important that we are respected for our focus on safety, our professionalism and our integrity.

Relationships in action

  • PSN and Petro-Canada worked together, assigning activities to integrated team members and training each other’s people
  • PSN and client teamwork boosted morale and improved performance on BP’s Harding platform
  • We work as closely with suppliers and sub-contractors as with our customers
  • Our relationship with Shell, BP and ConocoPhillips extends over 25 years
