Why Abdoulaye Djaouga joined PSN
One of our 800 people who helped bring first oil three months ahead of schedule in the Maikeri field:
"I chose to work with PSN in Chad because of its seven core values which above all else are what I expect from a responsible company. In the two years I’ve spent with PSN, I can say that they are not just words but we are living these Core Values, which make the company more respected, both locally and worldwide.
I start my day with a safety task – I clean my desk first as this reminds me to work safely during the day. I then organise my day by prioritising my different tasks by order of urgency and importance, making time for dealing with emails and phone calls and tackling the regular interruptions of people coming in for payroll-related issues.
As PSN is never satisfied with good enough, I am always looking for ways to do more than expected by being proactive in the payroll-related issues. I am developing toward the position of directly assisting my supervisors in the billing and accounting area. For that, I have the full support of my supervisors and this is very important.
I am just back from a four-week training in Aberdeen which is helping and developing me in my current role. This is part of PSN's nationalisation plan, which is very positive."
