Overview
In a field that was first reserved for fuel production in 1911, this highly successful project showcases some of our main strengths in working on with mature assets.
 
Scope
We provide field project management, maintenance and modifications, pipeline mechanical installation, engineering, procurement and construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning, operations and maintenance, and general services.
 
Background
Facilities include two low temperature separation plants, one lean oil absorption plant, 2000 miles of gathering system, 2400 producing wells, one co-generation facility, field gas compression, gas lift dehydration, gas sales facilities, gas injection and laboratory services. The gas processing plants produce sales quality gas and products of propane, butane, isobutene and natural gasoline.
 
Challenges

• Maintaining runtime on compressors and plant dating back to the 1970s and beyond
• Handling the changing nature of material being produced by aging wells

• We have worked with our customer to develop a strong maintenance programme that makes optimum use of the wealth of gas plant operations in our team
• Our customer has supported us in developing a detailed and focused craft training programme that has developed an excellent operations and maintenance team

Achievements

• 11 years without a notice of violation for source emission air quality testing
• We have delivered and maintained world class world class runtimes on plant and rotating equipment
• We have maintained an extremely safe working environment in an area of high employee turnover and many newcomers to the industry
• Our maintenance team received the PSN Core Value award for innovation in 2007 for its people-centred maintenance programme and the resulting runtimes achieved
