Meet the management team

Dean Hunter
Human resources director

"It's very refreshing to be part of an organisation where the commitment to people and people development is utterly genuine. Ability really is seen over and above all other criteria. I lead an inspiring team that spends every day improving how we build on and reinforce that.

Our employee turnover rate is less than 1% per month – in our industry no one comes close to that and it's one of the reasons why we can say PSN is the place where the best people want to work."

In 2008, Dean's team led PSN's success as one of the few oil- and gas-related companies ever to appear in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies. In the same year, he received the Outstanding HR Director of the Year cHeRries Award, which is sponsored by The Urquhart Partnership and Aberdeen Business School at the Robert Gordon University. In 2007, Dean secured the Scottish Offshore Achievement Award 2007 for Succeeding Through People.

Dean co-founded Employment Eye, a cross-industry network of HR professionals, sits on the Employment Practices Committee of the UK Offshore Contractors Association, and also represents PSN as a corporate sponsor of the MSc Human Resource Management course at The Robert Gordon University.

Dean has a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Management and Master's degree in Employment Law & Practice from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
